Process Maintenance Technician

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Dart is looking for our next Mid or Senior Process Technician to join us in our pursuit to ensure our production equipment is performing at optimal efficiency. In this role you will be responsible for development, assembly, installation, set-up, operation, testing and troubleshooting of equipment.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Day to Day Role

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Set-up, operate, test, and troubleshoot moderately complex production equipment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Adhere to established tolerances and adjust machinery as required
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and bills of material
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Diagnose and repair moderately complex mechanical equipment and instruments
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monitor instruments and equipment and collect operating data including calibration, inspection, testing, and repair activities to assist in making adjustments to instruments and equipment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Devise, fabricate, assemble, and disassemble new or modified mechanical components and machinery
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Provide technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports, and improve equipment, processes, and products
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Mentor other team members

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Core Skills and Qualifications:

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Ideal Mid-Level Process Technician must possess:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Requires one of the following:
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Associate’s degree with an emphasis in a mechanical or manufacturing process program and one (1) year of manufacturing equipment and processes, mechanical or machine maintenance and installation experience, OR
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of manufacturing equipment and processes, mechanical or machine maintenance and installation experience

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Ideal Senior Level Process Technician must possess:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Requires one of the following:
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Associate’s degree with an emphasis in a mechanical or manufacturing process program and three (3) years of manufacturing equipment and processes, mechanical or machine maintenance and installation experience, OR
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of manufacturing equipment and processes, mechanical or machine maintenance and installation experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Familiarity with, or ability to learn various statistical and quality methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE)

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Ideal Both Process Technicians must possess:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proficiency in using powered and manual hand tools such as soldering iron, multimeter, wrench, hammer, screwdriver, etc.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Math skills to include decimals and fractions
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read and understand blueprints or drawings including, but not limited to manuals, catalogues, schematics, or prints
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Prior experience troubleshooting and repairing production tooling and equipment and testing equipment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understanding of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Up to 50% domestic and international travel depending on department or team
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in required areas
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
