Join our newly developed Commercial Finance Team to assist in providing robust and accurate costing and pricing information as well as specialized analytical support for our Business Teams by applying business sense and creativity to help identify issues, solve problems, and generate ideas. 

The Associate Commercial Finance Analyst learns the department and company's procedures, structure, and philosophies to provide analytical support and make pricing recommendations for large customers, profit improvement ideas and new product development.
The Commercial Finance Analyst knows the department and company’s procedures, structure, and philosophies and can complete tasks with little direction, applying logic and business sense, to help solve problems and generate ideas in the areas of profit improvement and new product development.

The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst applies logic and business sense to help solve problems and generate ideas, analyzes issues in calculating methods, completes tasks with little to no direction, takes a proactive and results oriented approach in the areas of profit improvement and new product development.
More specifically, all Analysts will:

  • Obtain accurate, detailed information required for financial analysis and pricing decisions
  • Accurately complete a financial analysis of our cost to produce and distribute the product; provide clear and concise written summary of the situation with pricing recommendations incorporating logic and the company’s philosophies and strategies
  • Document pricing and other decisions according to department’s procedures
  • Work closely with specific accounts, including completion of pricing analyses and other related projects
  • Assist with the new product development process, including preparation of financial analyses to evaluate potential projects
  • Accurately complete financial analyses and share with the Business Teams along with recommendations for profit improvement ideas such as cost reductions, SKU rationalizations, and pricing and trade spend actions.
  • Accurately complete financial analyses to support Commercial Finance and the Business Teams on financial planning, budget adherence and financial performance of the respective areas.
  • Act as an interface between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence
  • Provide analytical support to others in the department and the Business Teams by completing a wide variety of special projects 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study
  • A Commercial Finance Analyst must also possess the following:
    • One (1) year of work experience in a business administration, finance, marketing, or a related position
  • A Senior Commercial Finance Analyst must also possess the following:
    • Two (2) years of work experience in a business administration, finance, marketing, or related position, or

All levels require:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of and experience working with financial concepts such as ROI, net present value, and other related analysis methods; strong knowledge required at senior level
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to clearly communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures, and decisions
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to operate with sense of urgency and focus on providing exceptionally reliable customer service
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain composure, adapt and effectively manage tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities while meeting all assigned deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Ability to travel up to 5% travel domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
