Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support our plastics thermoforming operation. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment to maximize safety, uptime, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on thermoforming and auxiliary equipment.
- Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and production startups.
- Repair and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and basic electrical components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
- Support continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining thermoforming equipment strongly preferred.
- Plastics manufacturing, thermoforming, packaging, extrusion, or injection molding experience.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automated controls.
- Technical degree, trade school certification, or related maintenance training.
Candidates with hands-on thermoforming maintenance experience will receive priority consideration.
