Leola, PA, is growing, and we’re expanding our manufacturing capabilities with a significant investment in new thermoforming equipment and infrastructure. This exciting expansion will bring four new thermoforming lines with advanced packaging automation and create approximately 85 new positions as operations ramp up.

 

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor who is ready to lead, develop, and empower employees while helping drive a safe, efficient, and high-performing production operation. In this role, you’ll spend approximately 75% of your time on the production floor, working directly with your team, coordinating production priorities, solving challenges, and creating an environment where employees can succeed.

What You'll Do – Results:

  • Lead and develop production employees while driving performance in Safety, Quality, Production, Service, and Efficiency
  • Spend approximately 75% of your time on the production floor providing hands-on leadership and support
  • Schedule production priorities, equipment, workstations, and employees to efficiently meet production goals
  • Coordinate staffing, line assignments, breaks, lunches, and other daily production needs
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and take action to keep performance on target
  • Promote a culture of safety, employee engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure employees follow established procedures, standard work, and quality requirements
  • Audit the production floor, monitor productivity metrics, and address deficiencies as needed
  • Inspect products and ensure quality control requirements and procedures are followed
  • Support the startup and ramp-up of new production lines and equipment
  • Help establish a strong production culture as the new operation grows
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting new employees
  • Take an active role in onboarding and ensuring new employees complete required training
  • Coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to employees
  • Partner with the Production Manager and other departments to achieve productivity and operational goals
  • Utilize computer systems to enter production and employee data and generate reports
  • Promote an environment of employee engagement, participation, and teamwork within and across departments

Experience & Skills:

  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience in a production environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create reports, documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and other written materials
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate detailed job-related information
  • Minimum proficiency in the English language necessary to effectively communicate safety, quality, and job-related information

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • SAP experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Experience in paper converting, chemical/plastics processing, packaging, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting new equipment installation, startup, or production ramp-up

Work Schedule:

  • Initial schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • As the operation ramps up, the schedule will transition to 12-hour shifts
  • Flexibility to work weekends and support a 24/7 operation will be required

Work Environment:

This is a hands-on leadership position with approximately 75% of your time spent on the production floor. The role may involve exposure to heat, loud noise, dirt, dust, odors, and fumes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
