Training Coordinator

Coordinate the logistics of in-person and virtual training for one or more sites.  Collaborate with Corporate Learning and Development (L&D) Team to identify and prioritize site specific training requests and requirements. 

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
  • Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
  • Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Work with Corporate L&D and plant management to ensure prioritized training needs are planned
  • Notify Corporate L&D and plant management of new training requests and document prioritization
  • Coordinate the logistics of in-person and virtual training and new employee orientation
  • Support trainers with training needs including booking classrooms, ensuring appropriate technology, materials, refreshments, etc.
  • Manage training schedules, records, supplies, and services
  • Manage correspondence with trainees including attendance, requests, schedule changes, etc.
  • Learn and use Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Perform LMS administration responsibilities including enrollment, course completion, reporting and other required information
  • Assist with completing the Needs Analysis Process (NAP) of new training requests
  • Gather and analyze data to report on trainee and training program effectiveness
  • Lock, secure and maintain technology inventory
  • Create, compile, and deliver required reports
  • Track and maintain project plans
  • Perform office clerical duties such as organizing digital and paper files as well as copying and scanning documents
  • Write announcements and other promotional materials to market available training programs and courses
  • Straighten up and restock rooms, refill supplies and perform light custodial tasks as needed to keep areas clean, organized and sanitized
  • Prepare and disseminate material
  • Resolve issues as they arise onsite
  • Act as a point-of-contact for vendors, trainers and trainees
  • Inform supervisor when inventory needs to be reordered
  • Participate in and assist with process improvement initiatives and/or cross functional projects pertaining to learning effectiveness and learning improvements

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of related office administration experience OR
  • Associate's degree with one (1) year of related office administration experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to initiate, coordinate between, prioritize among, and contribute to several concurrent tasks and/or responsibilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint  
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn technical software such as Successfactors / myHR
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
  • Strong analytical skills to understand procedural problems, identify root causes, and provide solutions
  • Excellent customer service, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
