We are looking for our next Accounting Supervisor that will add an energetic and strategic view to our Accounting Operations group.

 

Our successful candidate will supervise a large team that handles Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing for both our Corporate and Manufacturing locations. This is an exciting time to join Dart as you will have an impactful influence on meeting Dart’s Strategic goals by leading, designing and testing process improvements in addition to implementing SAP Ariba.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Ensure team's adherence to company policies applicable to AP and AR
  • Ensure accurate and timely postings to the general ledger, including cash applications and disbursements, management of outstanding debits and credits and variance account reconciliations
  • Coordinate funding and payment needs with Treasury
  • Oversee and support projects
  • Utilize queries and various reporting tools to provide information to internal and external partners
  • Apply lean methodologies and principles of operational excellence to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Seek continuous improvement by implementing ideas to streamline AP or AR processing procedures
  • Collaborate with IT to design, test and implement AP and AR initiatives
  • Administer year end close, prepare audit spreadsheets and assist auditors
  • Provide backup support for AP and AR staff
  • Supervise, cross-train and direct the work of others

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • High school diploma or equivalent with seven (7) years of Accounting experience
    • Associate degree with five (5) years of Accounting experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of Accounting experience
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
  • Proven analytical problem solver 
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to calculate, analyze, and interpret mathematical information such as percent differences, ratios, median, mean, weighted average, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Up to 5% domestic travel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • SAP experience, preferred
  • Knowledge Lake experience, preferred
