Associate / Mid-level Business Analyst

We have the ability to hire at the associate or mid-level for this position. 

 

The Business Analyst will create and maintain enterprise data and analytics solutions used for business metrics, insights, and supporting strategic projects. This position will be a part of a client-facing team that works cross-functionally spanning departments including, but not limited to, Engineering, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Distribution, Procurement, Finance, Strategy, IT and HR. This position provides both routine and intermediate level support for data & analytics functions within Dart. Working in an Agile environment, the Business Analyst will support collaboration and communication across the organization to enable change and sustained improvements through enterprise reporting, queries, metrics, dashboards and analytics
 

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Participate in strategic initiatives and data and analytics projects
  • Collaborate with departments regarding project requirements and design 
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics 
  • Identify business value and create feasibility hypotheses in collaboration with business subject matter experts
  • Perform routine and ad-hoc data collection, data queries and data reporting from a number of data sources including Microsoft Azure, SAP, BI, Excel, etc. in support of data and analytics projects
  • Synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and actionable recommendations 
  • Effectively communicate across organizational functions/teams relative to data analyses and the associated conclusions or recommendations being drawn
  • Perform routine and ad-hoc quantitative analyses (correlation analysis, pattern/trend recognition, financial analysis, process capability, etc.) on various types of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Present data to internal stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc detailed financial and strategic analysis of operations, markets, industry, competitors and customers
  • Perform analysis related to costs, benefits, and return on investment for strategic initiatives
  • Assist with analysis and metrics of strategic initiatives, focusing on value realization and business outcomes
  • Assess projects and improvement initiatives for viability and value
  • Maintain familiarity and expertise with current company data management applications/solutions as well as next generation applications that may be implemented
  • Develop training materials and tools to assist people in better utilizing new or enhanced capabilities

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:

 

The ideal Associate level candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree, OR 
    • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of business related analytic experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of business related analytic experience
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into pieces that can be solved with data, analysis, assumptions, and judgment
  • Excel skills to include pivot tables, modeling, developing complex spreadsheets, algorithms, analysis tools, and presenting quantitative analysis
  • Ability to learn very rapidly, assemble and comprehend large amounts of information
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated high level of organization skills
  • Results orientation, with demonstrated ability to apply situational analysis to optimize project efficiency and outcomes
  • Ability to travel up to 10% travel, primarily domestic, with international travel possible
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree emphasis in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • Working knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with supply chain and/or product management
  • Experience with business intelligence or analytics software
  • Experience with data modeling, data extraction, data mapping

 

The ideal Mid-level candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience in a relevant field dealing with large data sets, conducting complex business analyses and presenting findings/conclusions in a compelling manner
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into pieces that can be solved with data, analysis, assumptions, and judgment
  • Excel skills to include pivot tables, modeling, developing complex spreadsheets, algorithms, analysis tools, and presenting quantitative analysis
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Quick learner with an ability to absorb and comprehend large amounts of data/information 
  • Results oriented individual with a bias for action
  • Ability to travel up to 10% travel, primarily domestic, with international travel possible
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence (BI)/Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Demonstrated business acumen and experience in manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods industries
  • Experience with operational excellence, lean processes, continuous improvement
  • Experience with data modeling, data extraction, data mapping
