Corporate Counsel

As a member of our Corporate Counsel team, attorneys in this role will handle a diverse portfolio of employment law, general litigation and takes reasonable steps to make certain that Dart, its team members, dealers, and third-party service providers are complying with Company policies and procedures. Attorneys will research and resolve complaints, manage outside counsel when necessary.

 

Day-to-Day Role:
•    Research and analyze legal issues in the areas of employment law, contract law, environmental law, general litigation, and intellectual property
•    Write legal memoranda, case summaries, and policy documents as issues arise in the various legal areas within the office
•    Prepare, negotiate and review various legal instructions and documents, such as contracts, leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, etc.
•    Advise internal clients on aspects of employment, contract and environmental law
•    Assist with litigation discovery
•    Investigate and respond to charges of employment discrimination
•    Participate in day-to-day efforts of the legal team

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
•    2-5 years of experience in corporate, employment, or commercial contract legal work
•    Graduation from ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance
•    Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Must be goal-oriented and exhibit a high level of professionalism 
•    Detail-oriented, creative, articulate, personable with excellent organization and research skills
•    Must be dependable and reliable in meeting target deliverables according to schedule and expectations
