The Enterprise Architect (EA) works with stakeholders – both leadership and subject matter experts to build a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information and information technology assets.  As an Enterprise Architect, you will develop a solid understanding of Dart’s corporate and production business functions to evaluate projects, determine return on investment and make recommendations to ensure that appropriate technology or services are developed to meet the Company’s needs. As an advocate, the Enterprise Architect ensures that IT is working on those things that are most important to their business peers with an alignment on Dart’s company goals and strategic initiatives. This EA positon will support the business areas of:

  • Procure to Pay (PTP)
  • Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM)
  • Engineering including Master Data (ENG)


Day-to-Day Role:

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the needs of business stakeholders
  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
  • Develop a good understanding of Dart’s business and production practices, evaluate requests, and make recommendations based on the evaluation
  • Act as an advocate to support or promote business peers' interests 
  • Liaise with business peers and IT staff to assist in resolving problems with processes and the associated solutions and software systems
  • Manage requests from business peers while ensuring IT is providing consultation to their requirements and aligning priorities
  • Meet with decision-makers, system/infrastructure owners and end users to define business, financial, and operation requirements and systems goals
  • Perform analysis of business or technology requirements and processes
  • Translate concepts into requirements as needed
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems to develop strategies for improving or further leveraging technology solutions to meet business goals 
  • Participate in the evaluation of vendor software targeted for possible integration into the systems or environment, including strategic applications, tools, and utilities
  • Participate in cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Build employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise 
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and adhere to company security policies
  • Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to continually align the project with business objectives
  • Provide strategic consultation to assigned business customers to define or design business processes; engage with stakeholders to clarify and capture business strategy and how technology will enable it
  • Research, identify and internally market enabling technologies based on customer requirements
  • Translate business and technology requirements into systems qualities and subsequently into repeatable design strategies and patterns that enable those qualities (e.g. adaptability, scalability, availability, non-repudiation, reusability)
  • Promote shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows


Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience working in a liaison role such as Business Relationship Manager, Enterprise Architect or performing similar job responsibilities, OR
    • Associate’s degree and six (6) years of experience working in a liaison role such as Business Relationship Manager, Enterprise Architect or performing similar job responsibilities, OR
    • High School Diploma and twelve (12) years of experience working in a liaison role such as a Business Relationship, Enterprise Architect or performing similar job responsibilities
  • Three (3) years of experience in warehouse management, production planning, production execution, distribution, logistics and plant maintenance processes
  • Three (3) years of experience in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoicing and vendor management processes
  • Three (3) years of experience in machinery manufacturing, new product development, Production Planning and Execution (PPE), Warehouse Management (WM), and Plant Maintenance (PM) processes
  • Experience with software solution adoption, integration and deployment
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
  • Financial modeling skills as it pertains to IT investment through the use of return on investment and net present value analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues
  • Ability to effectively present to an audience
  • Experience in customer and business facing roles
  • Ability to connect the people, process and technologies required to deliver business solutions
  • Ability to collaborate with IT and business teams working at remote locations
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with strong business judgement, and the ability to learn quickly
  • Familiarity with project and program management planning including strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required
  • Availability to be on call 24/7, as needed


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel or Visio
  • Experience with SAP, Web services, Dart specific custom applications, M365 and/or SAAS solutions
