HR Data Analytics Analyst

Our HR Data Analytics Analyst will play a key role on our HR Analytics team in data preparation, data cleaning, reporting, results interpretation and statistical analyses.  Make a direct impact in how we influence leadership decision making on all aspects of human capital strategy, planning and execution.  We need your natural curiosity, business acumen, consultation skills and HR knowledge to:

  • Provide HR Reporting, Analytics, Insights, Workforce Trends, Automation and Recommendations for the Global HR organization
  • Deliver Business Intelligence to drive ‘Actionable’ business decisions to executive leadership drawing from multiple systems such as employee master data, talent, learning and other global HR data sources
  • Research and recommend key performance indicators to help identify business opportunities and measure HR performance globally
  • Create and generate key ongoing metric reports that include relevant analysis and commentary

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal Associate HR Data Analytics Analyst candidate must possess:

  • One (1) year of experience with HR analytics or data analytics within a global business environment
  • Familiar with database structures and extracting data from multiple sources
  • Experience with requirement gathering and analysis, user stories and data cleansing
  • Some familiarity with and a strong desire to learn the tools and techniques required to perform tasks like building data pipelines, data visualization, dashboarding, and report writing (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

The ideal HR Data Analytics Analyst candidate must possess:

  • Three (3) years of experience with HR analytics and/or data analytics within a global business environment
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources and database structures
  • Strong reporting capabilities with experience extracting data from multiple sources
  • Experience with requirement gathering and analysis, user stories, data cleansing, and dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Access and/or SQL database query and report development skills
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., ANOVA, distribution analysis, regression)
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills

Both levels must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Information Systems, Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Business, Mathematics or related field of study
  • Experience translating requirements/requests from a functional, non-technical client into logical, database specific requirements
  • MS Excel skills to include the ability to create intermediate spreadsheets (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, formula writing, Visual Basic)
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses, and present insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
  • Ability to adjust to changing demands; must be able to monitor priorities, working on both urgent requests and longer-term projects
  • Strong project management skills – must be able to set project schedules, manage tasks, influence others and mitigate project risks
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Favorable motor vehicle report upon hire

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with SuccessFactors HCM system
  • Proficiency in the use of statistical packages such as R or Python
  • Familiar with best practices designing user-friendly, intuitive, interactive data visualizations
  • Experience assessing business objectives, conducting gap analysis of existing versus needed capability, and identifying business requirements
  • Familiar with process automation and mapping software (MS Power Automate, UiPath, Nintex, etc.)
  • Experience providing potential technical solutions to meet current and future business needs and supporting analysis of alternatives for best fit
