Supports the efforts of the Dart sales personnel by supporting and making decisions on pricing, sales support, and service issues within the context of Dart policies, procedures, and values 

 

Day-to-Day Role:

Associate Account Manager - 

  • Learn the company’s procedures, systems, structure, distribution channels, philosophies, and strategies
  • Work with Dart field sales personnel analyzing information and making decisions regarding competitive pricing situations, contract and bid pricing, and other sales terms and conditions
  • Advocate for customers by managing quality, service, and other business issues for predominantly Foodservice accounts
  • Support pricing and profitability optimization through shared insights, providing recommendations to management as required using business judgment
  • Understand and evaluate the market to become an expert in assigned areas, and strategize to improve business results and efficiencies
  • Evaluate and approve resolution and associated costs for escalated customer-specific service or quality related issues and requests using data and judgment
  • Manage programs for assigned customers such as allowances and end user pricing agreements
  • Communicate and explain, with supporting rationale, pricing decisions and company pricing policies as well as related terms and conditions of sale to Dart field sales personnel and, on occasion, directly to customers
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with the sales force and other departments to resolve business issues speaking and writing in Spanish and English
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on field sales requests regarding company expenditures relating to customer promotional activities and other customer requests
  • Assist Author and send customers price quotations, price contracts, and general customer service correspondence relating to pricing and general sales and service matters
  • Resolve issues associated with past due invoices and unauthorized payment deductions
  • Provide administrative sales and service support responding to customer and Dart Salesforce requests in a timely fashion
  • Provide quotations, product information, and other related information using customer-provided documentation
  • Bring Dart values to life in day-to-day activities
  • May require international travel to receive or provide training or work as assigned on special project

Account Manager-

  • Work with Dart field sales personnel analyzing information and making decisions regarding competitive pricing situations, contract and bid pricing, and other sales terms and conditions
  • Advocate for customers by managing quality, service, and other business issues for Foodservice, National, and Retail accounts
  • Provide objective guidance to various departments and maintain customer history
  • Support pricing and profitability optimization through shared insights, providing recommendations to management as required using business judgment
  • Understand and evaluate the market to become an expert in assigned areas, and strategize to improve business results and efficiencies
  • Oversee global alignment for multi-national customers as required
  • Communicate and explain, in Spanish and English with supporting rationale, pricing decisions, policies, terms and conditions of sale and business issue resolutions to Dart field sales personnel and, on occasion, directly to customers
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with the sales force and other departments to resolve business issues speaking and writing in Spanish and English
  • Evaluate and make decisions on field sales requests regarding company expenditures relating to distributor promotional activities and other customer requests
  • Understand the corporate “big picture” and how to strategically collaborate for results
  • Act as primary in contract reviews and internal negotiations and customer supplied documentation requirements
  • Author and send customers price quotations, price contracts, and general customer service correspondence relating to pricing and general sales and service matters, in Spanish and English
  • Identify and execute cross-functional improvement opportunities to improve departmental efficiencies and breakdown silos
  • Provide administrative sales and service support responding to customer and Dart Salesforce requests in a timely fashion
  • Bring Dart values to life in day-to-day activities
  • Coordinate customer and sales tours of Mason facilities
  • May require international travel to receive or provide training or work as assigned on special projects

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal Bilingual Associate Account Manager candidate must possess all of the following:

Associate Account Manager -

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Associate degree or international equivalent (emphasis in Business or related field of study is preferred)
    • Minimum two years of college (equivalent of 48 or more credits). (an emphasis in Business or related field of study is preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to operate independently and own assigned business activities
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities to comply with response time parameters
  • Ability to use independent judgement and make decisions
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
  • Requires verbal and written fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g., perform mail merge, insert table of contents), 
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Account Manager - 

  • Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in Business or related field of study is preferred)
  • Requires native or bilingual/full professional verbal and written fluency in both Spanish and English 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to operate independently and own assigned business activities
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use independent judgement and make decisions
  • Proven analytical problem solver
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g., perform mail merge, insert table of contents), 
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Skills and Qualifications for BilingualAccount M anager:

  • Degree in business or related field of study
  • Two (2) years of business-to-business experience
