Dart is seeking an experienced mechanical assembly tech who is looking to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced machining environment.  At Dart’s Machinery and Tooling Manufacturing, we use the latest technology to build and maintain much of the production equipment and tooling used at Dart locations worldwide.

Successful candidate will safely produce high quality components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Assemble simple mechanical sub-assemblies used on production equipment

  • Perform simple wiring on electrical sub-assemblies using a wire list

  • Assist in troubleshooting simple mechanical or electrical problems on machine sub-assemblies

  • Assist in installing kits on machine sub-assemblies

  • Read simple blueprints and bills of material

  • Cross train with other positions in the department

  • Transport stock/equipment by pallet jack

  • Maintain and clean work area

  • Promote good employee relations and high morale

  • Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

 

Core skills and qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • One (1) year experience in assembly work

  • Ability to read assembly prints, identify different threads, drill & tap accurately, and install a variety of fittings

  • Accurately use a 6" scale, square head, dial calipers, and outside micrometers

  • Ability to safely use power and hand tools

  • Ability to utilize technical manuals, and other written materials to effectively complete assigned projects/tasks/jobs

  • Ability to travel domestically to assist technician at customer facility

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
