Senior Supply Chain Analyst

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will analyze the movement of raw materials, in-process goods, inventory control and completed merchandise to ensure that production, customer expectations, and regulatory compliance are met for domestic and international shipments. May be asked to perform a ‘Lead’ role by mentoring subordinate Supply Chain Analysts.


Day-to-Day Role:

  • Create enhanced strategies meant to optimize organizational transportation methods, operations, and options 
  • Create integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers); review and modify processes as necessary
  • Collect data and prepare analyses for forecasting demand or predicting transportation and customer delivery needs
  • Use practical analytical, project management, process and procedure skills to perform value add and root cause analysis on issues related to transportation, logistics and regulatory items for regional, national and international areas by selecting and applying specific methods, tools and information to generate solutions
  • Maintain contact and build collaborative working relationships with vendors, plants, schedulers, and needed departments in order to ensure continuous supply of goods
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement efficiency or performance improvements
  • Focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks
  • Plan/forecast to measure actual performance goals regularly
  • Promote alignment by understanding customer transportation and unloading needs and requirements
  • Assist in the design and implementation of transportation software and processes
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinate group 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in supply chain, logistics, business administration or related field of study and four (4) years of experience working in supply chain, logistics, and/or import/export functions
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in supply chain processes and root cause analysis
  • Proven analytical problem solver
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources and apply to projects
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to use  advanced and specialized analytical skills to develop and create complex and comprehensive problem solving root cause analysis on national and international issues related to transportation, logistics and regulatory items 
  • Ability to provide leadership coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate group; may act as a “Lead”
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Power BI reporting to include building reports
  • Previous experience SAPECC
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
