Do you love turning numbers into clean visuals that actually help people do their jobs better? If “creative,” “curious,” and “analytical” all describe you...this might be your perfect fit.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Visualization Designer who blends storytelling, problem‑solving, and user‑centric design to help transform how our manufacturing teams interact with data. This is a front‑end, hands‑on, human‑interface‑meets‑industrial‑operations role for someone who wants to make data useful, beautiful, and actionable.

You’ll interact with leadership, engineers, operators, analytics teams, and IT. You’ll travel to multiple facilities, learn directly from the people using the products you design, and build visual solutions that make their work easier, safer, and more efficient.

Applicants are encouraged to upload a portfolio or provide a link to your portfolio with your application.

What You'll Do...

  • You’ll lead the charge in shaping how data is visualized across our manufacturing operations—creating dashboards, standards, and experiences that support operators, technicians, engineers, and leaders.

On a typical day, you might:

    • Work side-by-side with process engineers, operators, and manufacturing leaders to understand real challenges on the floor.
    • Transform raw manufacturing data into real-time dashboards.
    • Build intuitive human-machine interface (HMI) concepts that clearly communicate what operators need to know, when they need to know it.
    • Establish Dart’s visualization style guide, setting the standard for tools, frameworks, visual language, and interaction patterns.
    • Evaluate visualization platforms and recommend what the entire organization should standardize on.
    • Lead strategic initiatives to maximize the value of our data and drive insights across the business.
    • Translate complex, multi-dimensional data into compelling, simple visuals that help people take action confidently.
    • Build data products that are practical, scalable, and deeply connected to front-line user needs.
    • Up to 40% travel, primarily domestic, with international travel possible

What You'll Need...

  • Bachelor’s degree required; with an emphasis in data visualization, data science, statistics, communications or related field of study, preferred
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in a relevant field dealing with large data sets, UI, UX, or complex data visualization design with impactful data storytelling results
  • Excellent visual communicator, experience translating ideas into compelling visuals through thoughtful design
  • Working knowledge of at least one major dashboarding platform (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Grafana, Aveva, etc.) or with custom-developed visualizations using D3, JavaScript, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to organize and lead ambiguous intitiatives
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Quick learner with an ability to absorb and comprehend large amounts of data/information
  • Results oriented, with a demonstrated ability to apply situational analysis to optimize project outcomes
  • Basic familiarity with core statistical concepts such as mean, median, mode, standard deviation, correlation, and regression

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated business acumen and experience in manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods industries
  • Experience with operational excellence, lean processes, continuous improvement
  • Experience with data modeling, data extraction, data mapping
  • Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and other AI applications
  • Experience with human-machine interface (HMI) devices and development, particularly the Rockwell Automation suite of products
