Senior Design Engineer – Lead with Data, Design, and Direction
Are you a results-driven engineer who loves turning data into decisions, ideas into innovations, and projects into successes? We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer to lead complex, large-scale engineering projects from concept to completion.
In this role, you’ll combine analytical insight, technical design expertise, and project leadership to create cutting-edge products and processes. You’ll dive deep into data analytics to understand what the numbers are telling you and use that insight to guide design and performance improvements. You’ll leverage FEA tools like Abaqus (or similar software) to simulate, test, and refine product designs, and you’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact engineering solutions: efficiently, collaboratively, and with excellence.
If you thrive on solving complex problems, leading projects that make a difference, and using data to back every design choice, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Do:
-
Use data to make decisions: analyze performance data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
-
Design and simulate with precision: use Abaqus or other FEA tools to pull in CAD files, model designs, and simulate product testing and validation.
-
Lead complex engineering projects, managing priorities, coordinating across teams, and driving projects to successful completion.
-
Design or direct the design of products, components, tooling, and equipment for large-scale, long-duration engineering programs.
-
Conduct research, analysis, and testing to evaluate design performance and recommend improvements.
-
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to enhance equipment, processes, and product quality.
-
Lead machine or product line installations and ensure flawless execution in the field.
-
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and product performance.
-
Mentor and guide junior engineers to elevate team capability and technical excellence.
What You Will Bring:
- Requires one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and six (6) years of related engineering experience, OR
- Associate’s degree and twelve (12) years of related engineering experience

- Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to successfully prioritize, and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
- Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
