Sr Telecommunications Engineer

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Manage telecommunications projects and requests to ensure that tasks are completed to schedule.
  • Interpret service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Assist with the design, installation, and removal of telecommunications equipment at various Dart locations and to Dart standards.
  • Verify work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
  • Perform routine testing and adjustments of telecommunications equipment.
  • Work with telecommunications service providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform advanced administrative and asset tracking tasks related to telecommunications and business functionality.
  • Design, deploy and manage call centers that serve the business.
  • Design, deploy and manage trunking options that will serve Dart for long term strategic needs while maintaining an unbiased view of all technology providers.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of vendor and partner relationships in order to ensure that Dart is getting adequate service and pricing.
  • Document and maintain accurate and complete technical records.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information; adhere to company security policies, company software licensing policies and practices.
  • Mentor other telecommunications team members.

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and two (2) years of managing call centers or enterprise scale telephone systems experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with telephone trunk technologies including SIP trunking, maintaining telecommunications infrastructure, and Cisco.
  • One (1) year of experience with International regulations pertaining to call routing.
