Supply Chain Finance Director

This is a nationwide position responsible for managing Regional & Plant Accounting Managers located across the country. The selected individual can reside anywhere in the U.S. so long as it is in close proximity of a major airport.

The Supply Chain Finance Director will provide financial leadership for the Dart Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations.  This role will report to the CFO with dotted line reporting to the SVP Manufacturing and SVP Supply Chain and will play a key leadership role in the Finance and Supply Chain organizations.  This role will be a business partner responsible for leading and executing the financial strategy of the supply chain organization and play a critical role in driving business results through financial analysis, planning, process optimization and strategic decision making. This position will have oversight over total Supply Chain spend across the organization and will be responsible for cost-effective manufacture and supply of Dart and Solo products.  The Supply Chain Finance Director will be leading a talented team of Regional and Plant supply chain finance professionals to deliver superior results.


Day-to-Day Role:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support Manufacturing and Supply Chain goals and objectives
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and Zero Loss mindset to relentlessly drive down cost
  • Provide financial guidance and support on complex Manufacturing and Supply Chain initiatives, such as new product launches, footprint rationalization and delivered cost optimization
  • Provide leadership to the Annual Operating Plan forecast process for Supply Chain. Monitor performance versus plans; provide variance analysis and identify opportunities and required corrective actions
  • Provide support to develop business case and justification for Capital Investments, working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Capex Finance Team
  • Communicate financial results and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Work with VP of Accounting to provide leadership and direction to the annual product cost standard setting process.  Ensure accuracy of Standard Costs across the manufacturing network and drive uniform methodologies for costing and allocation to drive the right commercial decisions 
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and work towards closing any gaps
  • Build and direct a high functioning team by attracting, retaining, and developing highly effective professionals

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, business or related field of study
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience in areas of financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Five (5) years of experience with full financial responsibility for a Supply Chain finance organization with multiple manufacturing locations and distribution centers
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP) and Supply Chain processes
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting inventory management and corporate finance
  • Exceptional financial acumen including strong analytical, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
  • Experience in business partnering and influencing with the ability to understand, anticipate and respond effectively to the needs of stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Experience in building and managing high performing business-focused teams by mentoring, motivating, and guiding employees to achieve stretch goals

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Prior experience with ERP upgrade / implementation
