Travel and Events Specialist

Support all functions of the Travel and Events Services team, including relocation, travel, and company meetings and events.

Day-to-Day Role

Support Dart relocation services

  • Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for our Dart’s relocation services supplier.
  • Make case-by-case decisions regarding relocation package terms within the scope of authority. Escalate decisions to the appropriate member of management when necessary.
  • Coordinate travel for candidates who have received a relocation package as part of their employment offer.
  • Audit and process all relocation invoices and expense reports.
  • Coordinate services for and maintain Dart corporate apartments.
  • Stay abreast of relocation industry changes and make recommendations, as appropriate, to Dart’s relocation policy.
  • Lead projects associated with relocation benefits, as assigned.


Support Dart travel services

  • Process travelers’ pre-trip approvals and online booking non-compliant approvals.
  • Assist in coordinating the scheduling/usage of company aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot escalated employee issues with the online booking tool.
  • When needed, book and make changes to air car, hotel and ground reservations through Dart’s online booking tool or directly with Dart’s travel services supplier.
  • Manage contracted hotel relationships, as assigned, and make recommendations for new properties during annual hotel negotiations.
  • Audit and process travel related invoices and expense reports.
  • Support other preferred vendor relationships, as assigned.


Support the planning of Dart meetings and events

  • Assist in the planning of multiple meetings and events in various planning stages, and efficiently meet project deadlines and time constraints.
  • Travel to event locations to participate in site inspections and assist in the operation of programs.


Core Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • High School Diploma with five (5) years of experience managing relocation programs, travel programs, or corporate event planning
    • Associate’s Degree with two (2) years of experience managing relocation programs, travel programs, or corporate event planning
    • Bachelor’s Degree with one (1) year of experience managing relocation programs, travel programs, or corporate event planning
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience providing excellent customer service to employees
  • Capable of working independently to set priorities
  • Demonstrates initiative by responding to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including a pleasant phone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain composure when faced with stressful situations
  • Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be willing to commit to ongoing training and education in order to stay on top of the industry changes and technology
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with team members


  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Ability to work extended work hours and/or weekends, as required


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience managing relocation programs for corporate employees
  • Experience planning corporate meetings and events of 75+ attendees
  • Experience managing corporate aircraft
