Web Development Manager

The Web Development Manager will oversee direct reports responsible for technologies and processes related to Salesforce and Microsoft in areas of Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Order to Cash, Finance, HR, and Planning, Production & Procurement.

 

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Subject matter expert working with IT personnel to provide direction and guidance for the assigned process areas in Salesforce, Microsoft and other technologies
  • Oversee a production support model that includes service level agreements (SLA’s), support procedures and on-call schedules
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and with full scope quality assurance and risk mitigation 
  • Partner and support projects across the IT organization that include the assigned process areas in Salesforce, Microsoft and other technologies 
  • Work with IT Project Management Organization (ITPMO) to allocate staff member time to IT projects, enhancements, production support activities and administrative time
  • Promote knowledge transfer and ensure vital skills and knowledge 
  • Participate in vendor, hardware, and software selection initiatives 
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff 
  • Responsible for employee development, discipline, performance appraisals, and administration of policies 
  • Make recommendations regarding staffing decisions

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in STEM fields, preferred, OR
    • Associate’s degree and six (6) years of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and twelve (12) years of IT experience
  • Eight (8) years of combined techno-functional experience with Salesforce or Microsoft systems
  • Five (5) years of experience leading mid-size teams of five (5) or more employees
  • Hands on experience with at least two (2) full SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft lifecycle system implementations
  • Experience supporting Salesforce, Microsoft or other technology solutions in a post-production environment
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example; motivate, engage, and develop staff; set clear and well defined expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues
  • Significant business knowledge and skills in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Order to Cash, Finance, HR, or Planning, Production & Procurement, including business processes, terminology and best practices
  • Strong familiarity with all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle including planning, analysis, design, construction, testing and support
  • Proficiency with one or more software development or systems implementation methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other STEM related field
  • Five (5) years of IT experience working in product manufacturing companies
  • Hands on experience with software development, systems analysis, software testing and software deployment
