Web Systems Engineer - Multiple Levels Available

We have the ability to hire at the Associate, Mid, or Senior level for this position.

 

You'll work a hybrid schedule of 3 days on site at our corporate office in Mason, Michigan, and up to 2 days remote.

We’re looking to grow our Business Productivity Solutions (BPS) team with people who are ready to collaborate with internal business partners in expanding and supporting of Dart’s Microsoft 365 environment and innovate within the Power Platform. These positions will focus on technologies and services such as the following, but not limited to Office 365 Innovation & Administration, Power Platform Design & Development, and application integration with Microsoft 365 services.

 

Our high-performing BPS team is seeking two Web Systems Engineers who innovate, operate effectively in an agile environment, challenge the status quo and are self-driven to succeed.

Day-to-Day Role:

Associate level Web Systems Engineer will:

  • Take part in projects from a technical perspective
  • Take ownership for incident, service request, and problem resolution to support the team’s service delivery and on-call support requirements

 

Mid level Web Systems Engineer will:

  • Lead projects from a technical perspective
  • Act as a point of escalation for incident, service request, and problem resolution to support the team’s service delivery and on-call support requirements
  • Work closely with partners across Dart to strategically solve business productivity needs

 

Senior level Web Systems Engineer will:

  • Provide a source of expertise in incorporating and implementing web solutions including, but not limited to, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, and SaaS solutions including Office 365 solutions
  • Provide support in enhancing the web system infrastructure's operation and performance
  • Work closely with other members of IT to ensure the success of the teams' duties and responsibilities
  • Support infrastructure and administration needs of content management systems
  • Provide mentorship and training to associate and mid-level Web Systems Engineers
  • Lead projects from a technical perspective
  • Act as final point of escalation for incident, service request, and problem resolution to support the team’s service delivery and on-call support requirements
  • Act as a final point of escalation for technical issues on the team
  • Work closely with partners across Dart to strategically solve business productivity needs
  • Support infrastructure and administration needs of other CMS tools

 

In addition to the above, all levels will:

  • Evaluate, implement, analyze, and maintain changes to business productivity and web solutions such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, and/or other SaaS products
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments and make recommendations regarding changes to current standards and solutions as appropriate
  • Provide support in enhancing the cloud and business productivity solutions teams’ operation and performance
  • Work closely with members of the content and automation services teams to ensure the success of the teams' duties and responsibilities
  • Administer, monitor, and manage web servers and other web-related on-premises and cloud systems
  • Work closely with members of the web development team to ensure the success of the team’s duties and responsibilities
  • Investigate and implement new features and solutions with Microsoft 365 and Azure

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

Associate level requires:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study, OR 
    • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of IT experience
  • One (1) year of experience in building and supporting business productivity solutions in platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workplace, Box Platform, etc.
  • One (1) year of experience with creating and managing shell scripts (PowerShell, bash, etc.)
  • Understanding of cloud-native concepts and solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS  
  • Strong verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Strong customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment

 

Mid level requires: 

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study, OR 
    • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study and six (6) years of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and twelve (12) years of IT experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in building and supporting business productivity solutions in platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workplace, Box Platform, etc.
  • Two (2) years of experience with creating and managing shell scripts (PowerShell, bash, etc.)
  • Understanding of cloud-native concepts and solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment 

 

Senior level requires:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study, OR 
    • Associate’s degree in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study and six (6) years of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and twelve (12) years of IT experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in building and supporting business productivity solutions in platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workplace, Box Platform, etc.
  • Four (4) years of experience with creating and managing PowerShell scripts 
  • Experience with cloud-native concepts and solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS
  • Experience exhibiting creativity and flexibility in solving customer problems
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment

 

In addition to the above, ALL levels require:

  • Technical experience in a Windows-based operating systems and support role
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to exhibit creativity and flexibility in solving customer problems
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required

 

Preferred skills/experience for ALL levels:

  • Experience with Web, SharePoint 2016+, and/or Power Platform development including basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and other programming languages
  • Demonstrated experience in installation, administration, support and management of any active Windows server environment that includes services such as Active Directory, application, file and print servers
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, SQL Server, virtualization, and IIS
  • Experience using DevOps tools  tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) GtiHub or Jira
