Machine Operator - Multiple Levels Available $15.89 + Bonus

Shift(s): 8:00 am - 8:00 pm or 8:00 pm - 8:00 am

We have the ability to hire a Machine Operator I or II based on your experience and skill level.

 

*Full time employees are eligible to earn up to $1,000 per month (up to $500 per month for part-time) based on meeting 90% of your work schedule.  You will be eligible for these bonuses upon hire.  The program runs June through October. 

Day-to-Day Role

  • Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements
  • Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
  • Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Assist with setting-up, starting, adjusting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and properly shutting down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules and product specifications.
  • Assist with process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goods
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e. fill lube lines, lube chain rails, grease guns, etc.) as required
  • Maintain production logs and reports as required
  • Promptly notify the Maintenance Department of any maintenance required
  • Notify supervisor of significant deviations from normal operating conditions
  • Perform back-up Inspector Packer responsibilities during break and lunch periods
  • Perform production process in SAP as required

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal Machine Operator I candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
  • Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

 The ideal Machine Operator II candidate will have the following: 

  •     Two (2) years of experience operating manufacturing and process control equipment or equivalent technical school or apprentice experience
  •     Previous plant production software experience required; SAP experience preferred
  •     Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  •     Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
  •     Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  •     Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
  •     Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
  •     Previous powered industrial truck experience, preferred
  •     Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience, preferred 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Six (6) months material handling or machine operations experience
  • Technical school or apprenticeship experience
  • One (1) year of previous experience with electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics
