Shift:   N1 or N2 (COP Overnight Shift)

Hours: Rotating twelve (12) hour shift. 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM


Responsible for a variety of electrical and electronic skills to maintain, install, and repair plant equipment electrical systems and facility electrical systems. Must be able to supply electrical support required to keep all departments running at 100% efficiency.Comply with all product safety, legal, regulatory and quality systems.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting, and tracking machine modifications.
  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem. 
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to codes, including safety codes.
  • Participate in process improvement groups and completes root cause analysis and recommends solutions as needed.
  • Trains other electricians.
  • *Will perform other duties as assigned.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Five (5) years of electrical experience working in an Industrial Manufacturing environment repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with Associates or Trade School Degree

  • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges with advanced mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to work independently or as a team member on assigned projects.

  • Ability to use Digital Volt Meter- Oscilloscope- Chart Recorders- PLC troubleshooting aids (P190, VPU, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers and other computer controlled equipment.
  • Ability to install conduit, wiring, and ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to perform all duties and remain in compliance with the national electrical code book.
  • A strong knowledge of DC and AC drives, including solid state starters.
  • Ability to assemble component electrical parts per specifications and be familiar with bench testing before installation.
  • Ability to perform the installation of motors, lighting fixtures, switches etc.
  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand electrical schematics and apply that understanding to real time systems.
  • Ability to redesign, alter and update schematic drawings to incorporate changes in equipment as needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot all variable speed drives in the facility.
